Can a Muslim purposely entice, tempt, or mislead a disbeliever into a wrongdoing? What does the Glorious Quran say about this?
Previously, I've written an article about Allah Almighty prohibiting for anyone to tempt and/or entice the Believing Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"). Allah Almighty promised a terrible punishment in Hell Fire for those who try to tempt the Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more") into wrongdoing.
In this article, we see how the Sovereign LORD of the Universe, Allah Almighty, had also forbidden for the Muslim to tempt the disbelievers into wrongdoing. I personally have heard the argument before, by ignorant Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"), that flirting with disbelieving women, for instance, is ok, since they are disbelievers in Islam anyway. This couldn't be further from the Truth of Allah Almighty!
The Commands to Abraham and to us:
Allah Almighty Commanded us to follow what He Commanded Abraham, peace be upon him, to do:

With this said, let us now look at what Allah Almighty Said in the Glorious Quran. Notice how Twice did Allah Almighty Say that we have in Abraham and his followers, peace be upon them, a good example to follow in the following Noble Verses:

| Sher Ali: [060:001] O ye who believe ! take not MY enemy and your enemy for friends. Would you offer them love, while they have disbelieved in the Truth which has come to you and have driven out the Messenger and yourselves from your homes, merely because you believe in ALLAH, your Lord ? When you go forth to strive in MY cause and to seek MY pleasure, some of you send them messages of love in secret, while I know best what you conceal and what you reveal. And whoever of you does it has, indeed, strayed away from the right path. [060:002] If they get the upper hand of you, they will be your active enemies, and will stretch forth their hands and their tongues towards you to do you harm; and they ardently desire that you should become disbelievers.[060:003] Neither your ties of kindred, nor your children will avail you aught on the Day of Resurrection. ALLAH will decide between you. And ALLAH sees all what you do. [060:004] Indeed there is a good example for you in Abraham and those who were with him when they said to their people, `We have nothing to do with you and with that which you worship beside ALLAH. We disbelieve all that you believe in. There has become manifest enmity and hatred between us and you for ever, until you believe in ALLAH alone' - except that Abraham said to his father, `I will surely ask forgiveness for thee, though I have no power to do aught for thee against ALLAH.' Their prayer was: `Our Lord, in thee do we put our trust and to thee do we turn in repentance, and towards thee is the final return;[060:005] `Our Lord, make us not a trial (فتنة) for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord; for, Thou alone art Mighty, the Wise.'
[060:006] Surely, there is a good example in them for you - for all who have hope to see ALLAH and the Last Day. And whosoever turns away - truly, ALLAH is Self-Sufficient, Worthy of all praise. [060:007] It may be that ALLAH will bring about love between you and those of them with whom you are now at enmity, and ALLAH is All-Powerful; and ALLAH is Most Forgiving, Merciful. [060:008] ALLAH forbids you not respecting those who have not fought against you on account of your religion, and who have not driven you out from your homes, that you be kind to them and deal equitably with them; surely, ALLAH loves those who are equitable.[060:009] ALLAH only forbids you respecting those who have fought against you on account of your religion and have driven you out of your homes, and have helped others in driving you out, that you make friends with them, and whosoever makes friends with them - it is these that are transgressors. Arabic (from right to left): 60:1 ياايها الذين امنوا لاتتخذوا عدوي وعدوكم اولياء تلقون اليهم بالمودة وقد كفروا بما جاءكم من الحق يخرجون الرسول واياكم ان تؤمنوا بالله ربكم ان كنتم خرجتم جهادا في سبيلي وابتغاء مرضاتي تسرون اليهم بالمودة وانا اعلم بما اخفيتم ومااعلنتم ومن يفعله منكم فقد ضل سواء السبيل60:2 ان يثقفوكم يكونوا لكم اعداء ويبسطوا اليكم ايديهم والسنتهم بالسوء وودوا لو تكفرون 60:3 لن تنفعكم ارحامكم ولااولادكم يوم القيامة يفصل بينكم والله بما تعملون بصير60:4 قد كانت لكم اسوة حسنة في ابراهيم والذين معه اذ قالوا لقومهم انا برأؤا منكم ومما تعبدون من دون الله كفرنا بكم وبدا بيننا وبينكم العدواة والبغضاء ابدا حتى تؤمنوا بالله وحده الا قول ابراهيم لابيه لاستغفرن لك ومااملك لك من الله من شئ ربنا عليك توكلنا واليك انبنا واليك المصير 60:5 ربنا لاتجعلنا فتنة للذين كفروا واغفر لنا ربنا انك انت العزيز الحكيم60:6 لقد كان لكم فيهم اسوة حسنة لمن كان يرجو الله واليوم الاخر ومن يتول فان الله هو الغني الحميد 60:7 عسى الله ان يجعل بينكم وبين الذين عاديتم منهم مودة والله قدير والله غفور رحيم60:8 لاينهاكم الله عن الذين لم يقاتلوكم في الدين ولم يخرجوكم من دياركم ان تبروهم وتقسطوا اليهم ان الله يحب المقسطين 60:9 انما ينهاكم الله عن الذين قاتلوكم في الدين واخرجوكم من دياركم وظاهروا علىاخراجكم ان تولوهم ومن يتولهم فاولئك هم الظالمون |
Again, Twice did Allah Almighty Say that we have in Abraham and his followers, peace be upon them, a good example to follow in these Noble Verses. And Allah Almighty Commanded us to follow what He prescribed to Abraham, peace be upon him. And Allah Almighty had inspired Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, and his followers to make their Prayer: "Our Lord, make us not a trial for those who disbelieve". This prayer is one of the main reasons why Allah Almighty Said twice that we have in Abraham a good example.

Ali: [010:082] "And God by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!" [010:083] But none believed in Moses except some children of his people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds.[010:084] Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in God, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)." [010:085] They said: "In God do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression;[010:086] "And deliver us by Thy Mercy from those who reject (Thee)." Arabic (Read from right to left. Be Just to all disbelievers:
Do not also forget that Allah Almighty also Commanded all Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more") to be fair and just to the disbelievers:
[005:008] O ye who believe! stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear God. For God is well-acquainted with all that ye do.Of course, you must be just and fair to all people, Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name. A Muslim was not put on this earth, by Allah Almighty, to be an evil person. Allah Almighty does not want satanic people to be His followers. We are all ambassadors of Allah Almighty on this earth. We have to set a great example to all people, regardless of their religions, for as long as we live. Period! A Muslim can not be full of tricks and deceptions. He also can not be a liar and a deceiver. Flirting with disbelieving women, for instance, is not pleasing to Allah Almighty, as the Noble Verses above clearly and indisputably state. Not only that, but when we show clear integrity and honesty to the disbelievers, then love and harmony will come about between us as Allah Almighty clearly stated:
[060:007] It may be that ALLAH will bring about love between you and those of them with whom you are now at enmity, and ALLAH is All-Powerful; and ALLAH is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
Only the hostile disbelievers are to be met with hostility and animosity. And even those, if they incline toward peace, then we too must incline toward peace and put our trust in Allah Almighty Alone:
"But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Noble Quran, 8:61)"
It should be our top priority, as Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"), to spread Islam to mankind. Setting the good example to people will certainly lead them to Islam:
"Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: For thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. (The Noble Quran, 16:125)"
Remember again that Allah Almighty twice praised Abraham and his followers in these Noble Verses. There are ample other Noble Verses [1] [2] where Abraham, peace be upon him, was praised for his great morals and ethics. That is why Allah Almighty Said:
"Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to God, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For God did take Abraham for a friend. (The Noble Quran, 4:125)"
Following this great example will be praised by Allah Almighty. Being devilish is not Islamic nor is it approved by Allah Almighty. Any ignorant person who tells you otherwise is not knowledgeable about the Glorious Quran and Islam.
Also remember that your body parts will testify for you and against in the Day of Judgment:
"That day, their tongues, their hands and their feet would testify against them regarding what they used to do. (The Noble Quran, 24:24)"
"When you used to cover up and conceal your evil deeds, (you never considered) that your ears, your eyes and your skin would testify against you. In fact, you thought that (if you hide your deeds) Allah would not find out much of what you do. (The Noble Quran, 41:22)"

Indeed, all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty alone for making the Noble Quran be the Perfect and Everlasting Miracle, for us humans, out of all of His Divine Miracles!
